What is it?
For those already familiar with the Jeep Wrangler, the Polar Edition is the latest incarnation of the model – based on the previously released Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Moving from the heat of the desert to the ice of the arctic, the Polar Edition is expected to be released in North America just in time for winter and boasting a range of changes and improvements.
What’s new?
Available in both two-door and four-door styles, this new Jeep comes in a cool Hydro Blue paint as the main feature colour but can be changed for equally chilly Billet Silver or Bright White for those after something a little different.
Along with the colouring, the Polar Edition adds a body-coloured hardtop for added style along with 18-inch wheels that boast a sleek, gloss black style. Unique decals then punctuate the rest of the vehicle’s body with a Powerdome (or power buldge) bonnet for added style points.
Under the bonnet and you’ll find these style enhancements matched with superior performance. Trac-Lock anti-spin electronic rear differential helps to keep you firmly on the road ahead and works beautifully alongside the Dana 30 font axle and Dana 40 rear axle.
For the engine, there’s a 3.6 litre Pentastar V6 delivering power to this beast of the roads, claiming an output of 285bhp with 260lb-ft of torque for exceptional grip and handling.
Whether you opt for the six-speed manual or five-speed automatic gearbox, this model is sure to be a huge success for those after a winter vehicle that can perform well whilst looking stylish.
What vehicle is right for winter weather?
If you’re thinking about investing in a new vehicle in time for Christmas then remember that choosing something capable of coping with winter weather is highly recommended. Any vehicle with good grip and plenty of power is an ideal candidate so look at 4×4 and MPV models including the brand new Grand Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition.
