Stunning movie scenes with Infiniti V-6 VR engine
Infiniti’s new 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine is a key “new chapter” for the automaker. Based on its long V6 engineering tradition, Infiniti's compact and lightweight design strikes a balance between efficiency and performance. The driver will experience a higher level of torque and power compared to any of its predecessors provided by Infiniti.
It’s easy to see this new 3.0-liter V6 as the fruit of Inifnit’s labor, highlighted by Carlos Ghosn, Nissan’s President and Chief Executive Officer, at the 2016 North American International Auto Show.
As sales for the brand have risen so has an exclusive VR-series powertrain family, of which the 3.0-liter V6 originates. The first will be under the hood of the 2016 Infiniti Q50.
Below are some stunning technical and cinema graphs of the V-6 VR engine produced in Iwaki, Fukushima, Japan. Infiniti Motor Company Ltd. is headquartered in Hong Kong, and has in addition to Japan and China, manufacturing facilities in the United States and United Kingdom. Infiniti plans to expand into Mexico by 2017.

Infiniti’s new 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine is the most advanced V6 ever offered by the brand.
An electric motor improves valve timing by reducing any delay at the start of acceleration, making throttle response faster.
A unique turbo speed sensor allows 10 percent more power by allowing the turbine blade speeds to reach up to 220,000 rpms.
Precision-cut design helps achieve maximum performance by quickly compressing and circulating the air within the turbo chargers.
Water-cooled air becomes denser and more oxygen rich as it travels to the engine. That means less turbo lag and quicker acceleration.
