2021 Mazda CX-3 arrives at the dealership in October
Mazda Canada announced that the 2021 Mazda CX-3 will be available at dealers in October.
The CX-3 subcompact crossover will continue to offer premium features throughout the lineup. The 2021 Mazda CX-3 will continue to be offered with the four-cylinder Skyactiv-G 2.0L engine, rated to deliver 148 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with standard front-wheel drive and paired with a quick-shifting Skyactiv-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift mode and Sport mode that help create an engaging driving experience. For those looking to venture beyond the city, Mazda’s predictive i-Activ all-wheel drive is available on the CX-3.
Mazda CX-3 GX is packaged with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic-off headlights, and G-Vectoring Control Plus are standard features. The subcompact crossover is benefited by a seven-inch colour touchscreen display with Mazda Connect, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio and a six-speaker audio system. These features can be accessed through the multi-function commander knob or steering wheel mounted controls. Other premium standard features include electronic parking brake with auto-hold feature, push button start, remote keyless illuminated entry system, power windows with one-touch automatic up/down feature for the driver side and cloth seats.
Essential i-Activsense safety features are standard on the 2021 CX-3 GX. Smart City Brake Support, Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and a wide-angle rearview camera are all standard safety features.
Moving up to the CX-3 GS brings a host of additional premium touches and convenience features. Inside the CX-3 GS, occupants can enjoy premium grade cloth upholstery, heated front seats, passenger seat lifter, rear seat centre armrest with cupholders, and automatic climate controls. The driver is treated to a heated steering wheel, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and conveniences like automatic on/off headlights, and heated exterior mirrors. Rain-sensing windshield wipers provide confidence for rainy days and complement the rear window wiper. On the exterior, the GS also receives 16-inch alloy wheels, piano-black pillar garnish, and silver front grille.
New for 2021, the CX-3 GS can be equipped with a Custom Appearance Package, which includes leatherette upholstery with brown suede inserts on the front seats, dash, and door panels, unique 16-inch alloy wheels, black exterior mirrors, and an understated black front grille design that brings greater depth and distinction.
For a different look and feel, a GS Luxury Package is also available as a subdued premium alternative to the Custom Appearance Package. The Luxury Package features leatherette upholstery with premium cloth inserts and adds a one-touch power moonroof. Unique stitching detail is found on black front and rear door armrests and soft-touch side console panel, and dark grey front and rear door inserts and soft-touch dash panel decoration. Satin chrome vent bezels and inner door handles add a little extra dash of contrast.
The CX-3 GT also comes with all LED exterior lighting, such as headlights, taillights and daytime running lights. The LED headlights have automatic leveling capabilities along with Adaptive Front-lighting System for added visibility around curves. Other equipment befitting the GT moniker is added, such as Bose premium sound system with 7 speakers including spare tire-well mounted subwoofer, navigation system, wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM Satellite Radio with three-month trial subscription, leather-trimmed upholstery, advanced keyless entry, power adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, and auto-dimming rearview mirror.
