What’s Included In The Jeep Warranty?

New 2021 Jeep vehicles come with a three-year, 36,000-mile Basic Limited Warranty. This bumper-to-bumper Jeep warranty provides the highest level of protection for your vehicle. It will cover most systems and parts, except for a few exclusions specifically listed in your contract.

For example, tires and unwired headphones are excluded from the bumper-to-bumper warranty. These parts come with their own separate factory warranties.

Jeep CPO Warranty

Jeep warranty coverage is not only for new owners – it also comes with certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles. CPO cars are used vehicles that undergo a thorough inspection by dealership technicians. The vehicles must be under five years old and have less than 75,000 miles. The inspection process “reconditions” the vehicle inside and out, using genuine Mopar® parts, and takes care of any outstanding Jeep recalls.

The Jeep CPO powertrain warranty is transferable from the original CPO owner to the next one. A $150 transfer fee applies, and the warranty can only transfer once.

In addition, CPO owners must pay a $100 deductible for repairs covered by the CPO Powertrain and Maximum Care warranties. A deductible is the amount of money you pay out of pocket before repairs are covered. For example, let’s say you have a repair that’s covered by your powertrain CPO warranty and costs $500. Instead, a company called Mopar administers the coverage for Jeep, Chrysler, Fiat, Dodge, and Ram vehicles. Jeep used to offer a lifetime warranty for Jeep owners to protect their vehicles from unexpected breakdowns, especially as the car aged. Unfortunately, the warranty is no longer offered.
